Dr. Pierson has been working with head and neck cancer patients since 2009. She did an extensive hospital-based residency program at UCLA and also spent four years teaching the third-year dental students’ Special Patient Care course, which included head and neck cancer care. Dr. Pierson’s experience in medicine and dentistry gives her a broad perspective on the relationship between oral health and overall health – a major benefit to her patients. In addition to head and neck cancer patients, she is trained to treat many patients with complicated medical conditions or special needs.
